The patinated brass fittings and polished brass are all finished in beeswax.

The light is cleverly designed with a joint at the top of the vertical brass stand which allows the arm to be positioned straight up and twist 360 degrees. There is also a 360-degree rotation joint by the brass shade, which allows the light to be directed up, down or to the sides.

The base is hand spun oak, like a grounding clod of earth, bringing a satisfying weight to the piece.
